HRC Law brings Scandi chic to Altrincham high street
Manchester-based full-service commercial law firm, HRC Law, has advised Søstrene Grene as the Danish retail chain is set to open a brand new store in Stamford Square in Altrincham town centre.
Founded in 1973 in Denmark, Søstrene Grene sells contemporary and affordable Scandi furnishings. With currently over 210 store in over 15 markets, the retailer will continue to expand across Europe in coming years.
The deal was led by commercial property partner at HRC Law, Helen Marsh, who worked alongside Matt Illingworth of Hynes Illingworth, the appointed letting agent, to secure a lease of the 6,000 square foot space.
Helen comments: “Altrincham town centre hit the headlines eight years ago for its high volume of empty retail units and was dubbed a ghost town. Fast-forward to today and the high street is a buzzing blend of independent retailers, household names and destination food venues – what a success story. Søstrene Grene’s planned opening in the town is further testament to this.
“It’s been a real privilege for us to work with such an exciting brand which is bringing a quality and stylish product range to the region.”
Jonathan Cooper at Søstrene Grene added: “For us, it was important to work with a team who understood the nuances of the local market to ensure we were laying the foundations for a successful opening. The team at HRC Law and Hynes Illingworth have provided excellent support throughout the process and we look forward to opening the doors to customers in the North West.”
