Which lawyer is best placed to help you?

If you know that your query relates to a particular area of law we’ve set out below the lawyers who specialise in that area.  Any of them would be delighted to assist you in any way that they can.  Please call or email them and if they aren’t there, they’ll respond as soon as they can.

CommercialIncluding, for example, support with terms and conditions, contracts and agreements, licences and GDPRGraham Hansen is the best person to contact in the first instance.

CorporateIncluding, for example, support with buying or selling a business or company, corporate governance, or restructures.  Mark Traynor or Richard Life are the best people to contact in the first instance.

Dispute ResolutionIncluding support with resolving commercial disputes of all types, litigation, advice on risk or on dealing with debtors or (ex-)employees who may pose a threat to your business.  Paul Kirkpatrick or Sarah Armstrong are the best people to contact in the first instance.  (We do not deal with personal injury claims, but may be able to recommend other lawyers that do.)

Employment:  Including, for example, support with contracts, policies and procedures, claims, grievances and disciplinaries, restrictive covenants, TUPE or restructures, employee share schemes, worker status queries and National Minimum Wage.  Jo Handler and Siobhan Howard-Palmer are the best people to contact in the first instance.

HR: Including, for example, support with any HR queries and issues from holiday pay through to employment tribunal claims.  Robert Maddocks is the best person to contact in the first instance.

Immigration (Business): Including, for example, support with sponsoring workers, right to work checks and Brexit-planning.  Laura Darnley or Siobhan Howard-Palmer are the best people to contact in the first instance.

Property (Commercial)/Real Estate: Including, for example, support with landlord and tenant issues, business leases, or buying a commercial property.  Helen Marsh is the best person to contact in the first instance.  (We do not usually deal with residential conveyancing, but may be able to recommend other lawyers that do.)

Tax (Corporate): Including, for example, support with employee share schemes or the legal tax aspects of corporate and commercial transactions.  William Ngan is the best person to contact in the first instance.  (We do not usually deal with personal taxation issues or so-called “private client” work, but may be able to recommend other lawyers that do.)
